Welcome to the Rainbow Region chapter of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada's web site. The majority of our members live in Ontario's Niagara Region. Although we are affiliated with the national ACCCC site, this site is independent and reflects the views and interests of the our regional chapter's members. We have set up a regional web site that ties together other ACCCC regional chapters. Rainbow Region was started in 1988 with 10 members and currently has about 30 members. Our members have collector vehicles that range from a 1927 Ford Model T to a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne. While we are a small chapter, we are quite active and try to have at least one club activity per month. These activities have included bowling, games nights, pot lucks, wine tours, and (of course) cruises. Rainbow has also hosted a number of national ACCCC events such as Tour-to-Yesteryear (1990 & 2000), Annual General Meeting, and National Picnics.
Our Mission
We love of cars of all sorts but especially the ones older than twenty years. You don't need to own a car to join but you will find that you will enjoy the club's activities much more if you do. Our mission is to enjoy our cars as much as possible and to share our enjoyment with others. We try to get together for a club event at least once a month and we're always looking for something new to do. The ACCCC recognizes all vehicles 20 years and older, but ownership of an antique, classic or general interest vehicle isn’t necessary to join. Officially, the club's charter recognizes original and unmodified cars, which implies that only cars of this sort are allowed in the national club functions. However, we in the Rainbow Region realize that cars that are driven often require modifications for safety reasons and for enjoyment. We love our cars and love driving them and our ambition is to get more people interested in the enjoyment of older vehicles.
